So the fine folks at Jordan Brand are at it again, this time there set to re-re-re Retro the Air Jordan II model in the OG White/Black/Red colorway later this summer. It’s funny this morning I passed up on rocking my Black/Red 7s and Black/Red 11s because the recent retro’ing of these sneakers makes my older pairs not as special. So I opted to rock my White/Black/Red 2s… oh well. lol

The boys at Beaverton are at it again. It really says a lot about the current state of sneaker design when Nike, who seems to have been coasting off the retro craze, are now hellbent on shoving these horrible hybrids down our throats. As if the Air Jordan X AF1 collaborations weren’t bad enough, Nike blended the 1996 Air Uptempo with the 1998 Pippen IIs to come up with this Air Max A Lot. SMH

Had R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton not passed away on August 25, 2001 she would have turned 31 today (January 16, 2010). I can’t front I was a big fan, and developed a huge schoolboy crush the first time I saw her “Back and Forth” video in 1994. Her rendition of The Isley’s “At Your Best” is amazing and “One in a Million” with it’s stacked drums, helped to change the game. She was truly an amazing talent. Rest in peace babygirl!
